ABOUT
AfterMachine is a participative web experience built around one simple idea: every passage leaves a different state for whoever comes next. The site does not publish an artwork outside itself. The site is the artwork.
No public account, ranking, profile or social feed. Contributions remain anonymous in the experience. The project favors a lightweight architecture, minimal dependencies and a verifiable memory of transformations.
The site provides keyboard navigation, visible focus, light and dark themes, reduced-motion support and textual state summaries. A graphical intervention cannot be made strictly equivalent for every assistive device; that limitation is acknowledged and documented.
AfterMachine does not need to know your identity to work. Abuse controls remain technical and limited to operating the service. No behavioral profile is required by the concept.
